How do I connect Claude or Cursor to Flottix?
Generate an API key in Settings → API Keys, then point your MCP client at https://flottix.app/api/mcp with a Bearer header — Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code, Cline, Gemini CLI all connect natively. Programmatic clients can exchange the key for a short-lived OAuth 2.1 token. Under two minutes — copy-paste configs on the For AI Agents page.
What counts as an item?
Any hardware asset or software license in your registry. Accessories, components, and consumables attached to assets do not count toward your limit.
What happens when I hit the 50-item limit?
Your data stays intact and read-only for existing records. Upgrade to Starter (500 items) to keep adding — agents included. Most solo IT admins stay on Free for a long time.
Can agents really write to my inventory?
Yes, with guardrails. API keys carry granular scopes, every action is logged in the immutable audit trail, and dangerous operations use a two-phase confirmation pattern: the agent proposes, you confirm. Professional adds Staged Approvals for background agents.
Is my data isolated from other organizations?
Yes. Multi-tenancy is enforced at every database query and service method. An agent keyed to your organization can never see or touch another tenant’s data.
